The Park Hyatt occupies the former headquarters of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy Bank on Am Hof — opened as the hotel in 2014 after a five-year restoration that kept the marble halls, the coffered ceilings and (most theatrically) the original bank vault, which now houses the indoor swimming pool. The position on the Goldenes Quartier puts Chanel, Prada and Louis Vuitton at the door.
Book a Park King facing Am Hof square, take the breakfast at the Bank Brasserie, swim in the vault. The Goldenes Quartier walk is the shopping equivalent of the Bulgari hotel in Milan.
