Heuriger Sirbu sits on the Kahlenberg slope above Nußdorf with the Danube to the east and the city spread to the south — the vineyard heuriger format that Vienna alone among European capitals still runs at scale inside its city limits. The terrace runs from mid-March to mid-October, the wine is the estate's own Grüner Veltliner and Wiener Gemischter Satz, the food is the cold heuriger buffet of charcuterie and cheese.
Book the terrace for a long Saturday lunch with the Wiener Gemischter Satz and the cold cuts, walk down through the vineyards to the Heiligenstadt tram. The view is the actual proposition.
