Leopold Museum

The largest Egon Schiele collection in the world — 220 Schieles, plus the canonical Klimt and Kokoschka, in the MuseumsQuartier white-stone box.

The Leopold opened in 2001 in the MuseumsQuartier white-stone Ortner & Ortner cube and houses the painting collection that Rudolf and Elisabeth Leopold spent fifty years assembling — the world's largest Schiele collection (the most concentrated Schiele room of any institution), the canonical Klimts including Death and Life, and the Kokoschka and Gerstl holdings that anchor the Vienna Secession floor.

Book the morning slot for the Schiele rooms specifically, take the late lunch at the MQ café across the courtyard. The Wednesday evening late opening is the alternative.

The 220 Schieles under one roof.
