Zuma opened on Raphael Street in 2002 and remains the original room of what is now a global group — Dubai, Miami, Hong Kong, Bangkok all came after. The London proposition has not moved: the robata at the centre, the sushi to the side, the bar that pours sake correctly, and the crowd that arrives at 20h and stays through midnight. The Knightsbridge room is the institutional answer for the dinner with eight people who all want something different.
Book three weeks ahead, take the chef's tasting at the counter, the spicy beef tenderloin and the black cod from the robata. The bar holds the late hour if dinner runs long.
