- Bruton Street, Mayfair
- 1★ Michelin
- Also Hanway Place (original 2001)
- Bar and lounge, late service
Hakkasan opened on Hanway Place in 2001 as Alan Yau's reinvention of London Cantonese and has held a Michelin star at the Mayfair sister continuously since 2012. The format is the dark wood, the low lighting, the bar with a serious cocktail programme, and the kitchen that runs dim sum at lunch and the full Cantonese book at dinner. The Bruton Street room is the louder of the two and the right one for the dinner that wants the energy.
Book the dinner at 20h30, take the Peking duck for the table and the supreme dim sum platter. The bar holds until 1h on a Saturday.
The Cantonese institution that still has the star.
