SushiSamba Heron Tower

The 38th and 39th floors of Heron Tower — the lift that opens onto the City view, the dinner that justifies the elevator queue.

SushiSamba's Heron Tower room sits on the 38th and 39th floors with two outdoor terraces and the view that the City skyline only opens from this single address. The kitchen is the Brazilian-Japanese-Peruvian crossover that the group runs in Las Vegas and Miami, but the proposition in London is the elevation rather than the cooking — which is correct, loud, expensive, and the right register for the birthday dinner of twelve.

Book the terrace at sunset in summer, take the yellowtail taquitos and the wagyu gyoza, ask for the orange tree table. The Covent Garden sister handles the dinner that does not need a view.

The dinner you take the lift for.
