The Bridgehampton polo afternoon is the social anchor of every Hamptons summer — two Saturdays in July, the matches on Hayground Road, the rosé tent, and the crowd that drove out from the city specifically for this. The format is the same every year: pre-match cocktails at four, the match at five, post-match socializing on the field until seven-thirty. For EVJF weekends and significant birthdays in July, I build the entire Saturday around the match.
Tickets go on sale December 1 and the 2026 dates (July 18, July 25) will sell out by April. Buy in pairs, dress for the heat, and bring sunglasses serious enough to last three hours in the field. No tickets at the door.
