Aspen-Pitkin is the only meaningful private terminal in the Roaring Fork Valley — three miles from the gondola, a single asphalt runway at 7,838 feet of elevation, and weight and wingspan limits that mean not every aircraft can land. The Gulfstream G280, Citation Latitude, and most light-to-mid jets are fine; the Global 7500 and Falcon 8X are at or near the limits. For winter arrivals the airport closes regularly for weather — work with a charter operator who understands mountain aviation and has a backup plan for Eagle (EGE) or Rifle (RIL).
Atlantic Aviation is the FBO; the on-site host handles SUV transfers, ski pass collection, and the call to The Little Nell or the Jerome. For January and February book the slot four weeks ahead — ASE has hard daily handling caps in peak season.
