The Jerome is the alternative to The Little Nell — same town, same five-star tier, completely different feel. The Little Nell is the modern slope-side resort; the Jerome is the 1889 silver-mining hotel on Main Street, with the lobby that feels like a film set and the J-Bar that the entire town drinks at, regardless of where they are staying. Auberge took over the operations and the rooms have been quietly refined without losing the Victorian bones.
For wedding parties and multi-generational stays this is the right call — the Library is the right private dining room for the rehearsal dinner, the Prospect restaurant is genuinely good, and the location on Main Street puts the whole village at your door. Book the Aspen Suite if you can; the standard Deluxe Kings are smaller than at The Little Nell.
The Aspen institution, properly modernised.
