- Par 72, 6,224 metres, Trent Jones design 1964
- Members' club — tee-times via partner hotels
- Oldest course in the Cádiz Costa del Sol
- Paseo del Parque s/n, Sotogrande
Real Club de Golf Sotogrande was Trent Jones' first commission in Europe — opened in 1964 as the founding moment of the entire Sotogrande development, royal title conferred by King Juan Carlos I in 2014, and one of only five courses Trent Jones himself named as a personal favourite out of more than five hundred he designed. Sixty-two years on, the par 72 layout still reads as the most elegant in southern Spain.
Tee-time access for non-members runs through partner hotels — SO/ Sotogrande and the marina desk can arrange. Play it as the second course of the trip after Valderrama. The clubhouse breakfast is the format for the early tee.
Book it for the original 1964 routing.
