La Terrasse des Épices

La Terrasse des Épices opened in 2007 on a rooftop above the dyers' souk and quickly became the address every medina terrace that came after was measured against. The kitchen is Moroccan and Mediterranean in roughly equal parts; the view runs across the medina rooftops to the Koutoubia and on a clear winter morning to the Atlas line behind it.

Reserve the corner table for late afternoon, order conservatively, and stay through the early DJ set. The champagne list is unusually deep for the medina and the cocktails are reliably made.
