Kôya

Hivernage's high-volume Asian room — Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Latin, with the saxophone and the Gnawa night on weekends.

Kôya runs the festive end of Hivernage Asian dining at higher volume than Bô & Zin — Tom Yam, tuna tataki, prawn tempura, the Akuma grilled beef fillet, the cocktails the kitchen times to the music. The Friday and Saturday Gnawa interludes bring a Moroccan thread through the night that the rest of the format does not.

Book the booth at the back rather than the table at the bar, pace the early plates, and let the DJ run after ten. The room turns over fast on weekends; a one-day notice on the reservation is the minimum.
