Kasbah Café

Kasbah Café — Camille's list as "Le Kasbash" — sits across the alley from the Saadian Tombs in the Kasbah quarter of the medina, on the quieter southern side that most first-time visitors never reach. The terrace climbs above the surrounding ochre roofs and gives one of the cleanest views of the Mellah, with the Atlas behind on a clear day.

Order something modest from the all-day menu — the soup, the tagine, the fresh juices — and stay for the view rather than the cooking. Pair it with a morning tour of the tombs and the Royal Palace; the café is the obvious place to land afterwards.
