Dameh is the Guéliz address Mehdi and David opened with chef Chouaib El Hariri to bring a serious Levantine kitchen into a city that did not really have one. The menu travels from Beirut through Tel Aviv, Greece and Spain back to Morocco, and the bar runs a mixology programme more disciplined than most rooms in town.
Book the corner banquette, share the cold and warm mezze in the first round, and let the bar build a pairing rather than ordering wine by the glass. The room turns up after ten on weekends — that is when the cocktail list earns the rest of the menu.
