La Ponche is the old fishermen's hotel — Picasso, Sagan, the village before the village became a brand. The 2022 renovation by the new owners restored the bones without sterilising them, and the 2026 season adds La Maison, a 240 m² rooftop apartment that can be taken privately. Simon Pinault took over the kitchen and rebuilt the menu around Golfe-caught fish and a serious bouillabaisse.
Book a sea-view room in the original building rather than the annex. Walk everywhere. La Ponche is the village hotel you book when you have already done the palaces and want something smaller, older, and quieter.
