Up the hill behind Pampelonne sits the only Saint-Tropez palace that still feels like a private estate. Airelles took it over in 2019 and the grand reopening in 2021 settled the architectural question: this is a château before it is a hotel, and the cosmetic restraint is the point. The second pool, set apart from the family pool, is where I send guests who want quiet — there is no equivalent in town.
Book a Junior Suite with the sea view, ask for the higher floors, and drive down to the beach rather than walking it. Lunch at the pool, dinner in the village. The hill is a feature, not a bug, once you accept that you are not in the village.
The room for the family of four with three generations.
