Mangerie

Mangerie sits one flight above the Bebek waterside on Cevdet Paşa — a quiet entrance, a white-panelled dining room and a view across the rooftops to the Bosphorus that the rest of the strip cannot match. The breakfast — the full Turkish tray, the menemen, the eggs Benedict — has been the Bebek weekend's anchor since the room opened in 2004.

Take a late Sunday breakfast at the corner table by the window, order the menemen and the Turkish board between two, and walk down to Bebek Park afterwards. Dinner is the calmer service; the breakfast is the cultural ritual.
