Palais Selman

Jacques Garcia's Atlas-facing palace built around a haras of purebred Arabian horses — 80-metre pool, signature dinners in the stables.

Palais Selman was designed by Jacques Garcia for the Bennani Smires family around a single anchor: the private stable of purebred Arabian horses kept on the property and shown across the day to guests in the garden. The hotel runs the longest heatable swimming pool in the city — eighty metres — and Garcia's signature theatre extends from the lobby to the riads at the far end of the grounds.

Book the riad rather than a room, request the Sunday horse-and-brunch programme, and arrange one signature dinner in the haras for an occasion. The hotel sits on the airport road; the medina is fifteen minutes by car.
