Navigli is the canal district south of the Porta Genova — two Leonardo-engineered canals, the Grande to the west and the Pavese to the south, that hold the densest concentration of late-evening bars and dinner addresses in Milan. The proposition is the walk along the water from 19h, the aperitivo at one of the dozen canal-side terraces, the dinner at any of the trattorias that line the towpath. The vintage market on the last Sunday of every month is the daytime version.
Walk from the Darsena dock west along the Naviglio Grande for the aperitivo, dinner at Mag Café or Rita & Cocktails, late drinks until 2h. The Sunday market is the alternative weekend address.
