Bice opened on Via Borgospesso in 1926 and remains a hundred years later the canonical Tuscan-Milanese lunch in the Quadrilatero — the format being the trolley with the meat carved at the table, the panzanella, the bistecca alla Fiorentina, the cantucci with vinsanto to close. The clientele is the Milanese fashion regulars and the family clients who have been booking the same table for thirty years.
Book the lunch on a Wednesday at 13h, take the panzanella and the bistecca, drink Chianti Classico. The dinner is calmer than the lunch.
