ME Milan Il Duca is the Meliá group's Piazza della Repubblica hotel, opened in 2014 in the former Banca Popolare di Milano building. The proposition is the address — five minutes from the central station, ten from the Quadrilatero — and the Radio Rooftop Bar on the tenth floor, which has run as the aperitivo destination of the Repubblica neighbourhood for a decade. The rooms are correct rather than memorable; the rooftop is the actual reason to book.
Book a higher floor for the view, take the aperitivo at Radio Rooftop at 18h30, walk to dinner in Brera. The STK steakhouse on the ground floor handles the late return.
