- 20-minute walk from the Piazzetta along Via Matermania
- Lunch and dinner, simple Capri kitchen — ravioli, pesce, coniglio
- Two terraces carved into the rock above the sea
- Open May to October, no reservations after 8.30pm
Le Grottelle is the lunch at the end of the walk to the Arco Naturale. The kitchen is simple — coniglio all'ischitana, ravioli capresi, fritto misto — but the terrace is the proposition. You sit on the cliff edge, the Tyrrhenian below, and you finish with the family's lemon granita while the heat passes.
Walk down from the Piazzetta via Via Matermania, lunch at one, walk back via the Arco and the Grotta di Matermania. Allow three hours for the loop.
Book it for the lunch at the end of the walk.
