Kinugawa has held the rue du Mont-Thabor address for forty years, and the Vendôme branch is the discreet, more contemporary sister room — Gilles & Boissier interior, a long sushi counter, the robata in the back. The 8e crowd has taken it as the local that does not require a long walk for a serious Japanese dinner.

Book the sushi counter for two, take the omakase, finish with the matcha mille-feuille. The room is the answer for the dinner before the Champs evening when the company prefers the discreet entrance.
