La Cave des Creux

La Cave des Creux is the wood-panelled mountain restaurant at the top of the Creux chair — the cheese fondue, the raclette, the long lunch the off-piste guides take when they are not running the clients. The room is the authentic mountain version of the alpine lunch that the resort has otherwise polished into something else.

Take the terrace at 13h on the clear afternoon, order the fondue and the cured meats, drink the Mondeuse by the small carafe. The room is the right Courchevel answer for the day on the snow that wants the proper mountain meal rather than the polished slope-side one.
