- 39 suites and villas, beachfront on the lagoon
- Al Mare (Italian) and Le Sereno Restaurant
- Lagoon swimming, kite school next door, two-bedroom villas
- Open mid-October to early September
Grand Cul-de-Sac is the protected lagoon on the eastern side of the island and Le Sereno is the only serious hotel on it. The Christian Liaigre interiors have aged perfectly — sand-coloured limestone, dark teak, no pattern — and the lagoon swimming is the calmest you will find in the Caribbean. The kite school next door is a useful detail if you have teenagers.
Suite Côté Mer with the direct lagoon view. Lunch at Al Mare, dinner at the main restaurant, swim before breakfast. The hotel runs a car to Gustavia for the evening.
Book it for the lagoon and the Liaigre rooms.
