The Box has held the Chrystie Street old-theatre format since 2007 — the original banquettes and stage intact, three burlesque-theatre productions per night, the dance floor between the shows. The format is the most unhinged late-night venue in the city and the bookings have not in any meaningful sense slackened in two decades.
