Aman took the upper floors of the 1921 Crown Building, restored the volumes, and opened in 2022 with eighty-three suites — the lowest room count of any grand hotel in midtown by a wide margin. The Aman Club occupies the floors above and is the New York members' chapter of the group; access for hotel guests is more limited than it reads on paper.
The spa is the point — three floors, twenty-five thousand square feet, a twenty-metre pool flanked by fire pits, a proper Russian Banya. Book the Premier Suite on a high floor, eat at Arva on the second evening, and use the pool every morning before midtown wakes up.
Book it for the suite and the spa.
