The Aquariva is the only correct way to leave the Vieux Port — wood and chrome, low and fast across the gulf, the slow lap from the harbour to the Tahiti stretch and back via Cap Camarat. Captain at the wheel, six guests on the white cushions, the boat does the talking.
Half-day is the right shape for a swim and a drink before lunch at Club 55. Full-day extends to the Île de Porquerolles. Book through Camille a week ahead in July and August; the operators she works with hold the boat with a real teak interior, not the imitation.
