The Braderie is the August ritual the village holds on the first weekend of the month — three days when the boutiques along rue Gambetta and rue Allard bring out the previous season's stock onto trestle tables and the new season into the windows at the same time. The crowd is local, the timing is precise, the photographs are the year's village reportage.
Walk it on the Friday morning before the lunch crowd, take the rue Allard side first, finish at the place des Lices for the long lunch. The new collection is what you go for; the trestle tables are the entertainment.
