- 22 rue Saint-Benoît, 75006
- Soba made in-house
- Two floors, the upstairs is the room to take
- Lunch and dinner, closed Sunday
Yen has been on rue Saint-Benoît long enough to have become the address that the visiting Tokyo chefs ask after first, and the soba is still made in the house every morning. The upstairs room is the one to book — quiet, blond wood, a long counter view of the buckwheat work.
Order the cold soba with the duck broth, take the seasonal tempura, finish with the matcha. The kitchen is the most disciplined Japanese room in the 6e and the room never feels like a tourist stop.
The Saint-Germain lunch on the rainy day.
