The address is the Paris private club that the French still treat as the only one that does not need its own description, and the door has held its character through six decades of changes in the rive gauche tempo.

Take the dinner on the first floor at 21h30 if the membership allows, move upstairs at midnight, drink the Champagne by the bottle. The club is the right Saint-Germain answer for the long Thursday or Friday evening that requires the discreet door rather than the published name on the awning.
