ZZ's opened in the Design District in 2021 and was Major Food Group's first club anywhere — the New York floors at Hudson Yards came later, and larger. The kitchen is modern Japanese: sushi flown from Toyosu, premium beef over custom charcoal grills, a sixteen-seat omakase counter for members who book it early. Ken Fulk did the interiors, which means velvet, lacquer and a deliberate excess that reads as the opposite of restraint.
It is a club in the strict sense — there is no walking in, and no dining room open to the public. That is the point of it, and it is well executed. If you are weighing it against the other Miami memberships, the honest distinctions are format and register: ZZ's is one room done maximally, where Casa Tua is a villa and the RDG lounges sit above working restaurants.
The Japanese question, without a membership. From late 2026 the comparable room in the city is HONŌ, on the sixty-fifth floor of the E11EVEN tower — a Japanese steakhouse working over fire, with an open-air rooftop above it. Different building, different altitude, and a dining room anyone can book.
